| Curious if anyone knows of any AX machines left in the states. There was only one ever documented of being in my state, and the arcade that housed it closed down in 2005. I don't know of any in surrounding states either. | |

| It's really a shame its so hard to come by. I'm not good enough to beat story mode on very hard, and... I no wants to cheat with an action replay =/ | |

| Well I'm pretty sure you can get through it if you get it in your mind. You just try with the easiest missions and work your way through it. Because I was quite surprised to hear that there was still an F-Zero AX somewhere in the world, and since then maybe it was removed =/ | |

| I think nowadays it's rare to find them ANYWHERE anymore.
Although saying that, when GX was still in it's early days, we managed to find an AX machine. And that's here, in England. Land of the 'don't get shit cool'. And then, the place it was in burnt down =C
Anyway, enough of my troubles. Good luck with your search.

| The arcade itself was pretty rare | |

| Because it's old and people wants to play more DDR and House of dead like .
Lol
The arcade is pretty hard to find because it costs a lot to rent and the game wasn't so popular .

| Unfortunately you may have to go to Japan cause of F-Zero high popularity there and due to the fact the arcades aren't dead there.
Dragonbird00 recently went to Japan and played an AX machine.
With enough Patience and plenty of retries you'll beat the story mode.
Though to get the Japanese exclusive parts you'll have to use an Action Replay.

Will a Japanese AX machine unlock the parts/pilots on an American save file?

Will a Japanese AX machine unlock the parts/pilots on an American save file? Good question , but maybe not. I don't now , maybe if the original Japanese game F-Zero GX is compatible with the US GC console. I never tried But the European version is not compatible with the US and Japanese version of the game .

| I guess that's true. If so your gonna have to beat the story mode as is.
Like I said before there are special Japanese Machine Parts you can only get with an action replay, so if you want everything you may have to use an Action Replay.

The time I beat the first mission on hard, I'm sure even Black_ShadowGX heard me from his house. There's no way I could ever beat it on super hard...

| I was uber-excited when i beat deathborn on hard. Then the first time I tried on Very hard he was 16 seconds ahead of me by the second lap. Recently I was on the last lap, in the lead, only to hit a mine and go flying into the cavern wall. not fun. | |

| I've had this game beaten since 2004, Chapter 5, I spent 6 months trying to beat that god-awful chapter. And when I did needless to say I was quite happy.
Hmm, I wonder what that sound was a while back lol. Yeah i screamed several times at this game.
But imo is worth it cause your simply a better gamer when it's all said and done.

| With patience and training , you can manage .
Oh, mission 5 was one of the most easy of all , it take to me some hours for finish it on very hard mode.
For the cup I have the first 2 on Master mode.
I must replay this game . The last time I played it was 2 months ago.
I have the game since end of 2008 ( december)

I went from high speed to high acceleration, leaving racers alone to attacking them. Then, I finally just went back to high speed and, without attacking the racers, won the damn thing. Now hard and very hard...
